The Process

I work in small batches containing mainly Rides and Hi-hats of sizes ranging between 18-24” for rides and 14-16” for Hi-Hats. I rarely produce Crashes, and will every once in a while make a Swish/China or Experimental/FX Ride. As for now, the bulk of my work is divided in four different lines: The Signature Series, The Heritage Series, the O.a.k Series and the Corteza series.

Once every 30-45 days these cymbals will be added to the website’s shop. I will always do a previous announcement on Instagram/FB and send a mail to my mailing list, giving a heads-up to whomever might be interested.

I work on a “first come first served” modality, which I consider to be a fair approach towards the buying of these cymbals, meaning, I won’t hold or reserve an instrument prior to a batch drop.

Though, do keep in mind that if you missed something you liked, you are always encouraged to contact me for a commission or your desire to see similar instruments in future batches.

Angular, gnarly, complex, intense, upfront. This series is my tribute to the concept of “ugly beauty”.
A rough and uneven topography adorned with controlled irregularities, defined by its peculiarly shaped hand-formed bell, deeper than normal grooves, murky natural patina, and growly dark spread paired with a high-end fast response. A decidedly versatile cymbal which finds itself right at home in many modern musical contexts.

The Signature Series

Short for “One-of-a-kind”. This line of instruments act as my space for study and unbounded creativity. It is the continuation of my original non-serialized work, meaning, a cymbal line where anything goes.

It will most likely also act as the breeding grounds for any forthcoming new lines and designs as time moves forward, so keep your eyes open, one of these could one day become a regular act.

The O.a.k Series

Rounded, nuanced, evocative, light. A mellow yet outspoken cymbal inspired by nostalgia, defined by its even and smooth topography, steep transition, amber soft-dulled patina, medium sized semi domed hand-formed bell, and a breathy wash which still allows for a widely dynamic stick articulation to sit on top.
An all-around cymbal born to a jazz obsession, my homage to what I’ve rarely ever held or played: decades old bronze.

The Heritage Series

Super dry, very dark, fast decay, succinct, a bit trashy, but clear and clean articulation. All of this accompanied by a touch of effervescence brought by the two brass rivets located near the edge.

This full-turk series is a far jump away, but a great complement, to the rest of my body of work. They are very unique within my creations as I tend to make resonant “tone-full” instruments.

If fast, charged and energetic music is what you are up to, this series is a perfect fit.
